As you travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus, you’ll hear about Jamaica’s colorful past, making short stops at historical sites along the way. The drive takes you past banana plantations and local outdoor markets.

The first stop in the mountains is at an open-air restaurant located at 2,600 feet above sea level, where you’ll enjoy a sumptuous Jamaican brunch and as much real Blue Mountain coffee as you can drink!

After brunch you’ll be fitted with protective gear in preparation for a thrilling downhill ride. You’ll be taken to an elevation of 5,600 feet, where you’ll select your bike and enjoy the best scenic vistas in the Caribbean.

The descent begins! The tour moves leisurely at around 5-10 miles per hour. While coasting down this part of the mountain you’ll have a chance to admire the beautiful landscapes, featuring pristine streams and waterfalls, misty slopes, varied species of Jamaican birds, wildflowers, and plants.

Stop for lunch at the same spot you had brunch and then enjoy a swim at a secluded, pristine waterfall.

This is a really popular trip. This 33m tall red and white striped edifice marks Morant Point, the most Eastern tip of Jamaica. The 6m wide cast iron tube was shipped from England and erected in 1841 by freed African slaves from Sierra Leone. It is the oldest lighthouse in the island and is listed as a historical monument.

You can climb to the top of the lighthouse. The powerful view and the windy silence make for a profound experience as you look out over rippling cane fields, as green as limes, toward the Blue Mountains, caressed by clouds.

Zion Country Eco beach Cabins is a 1 acre property with a private beach with a view to the ocean and to the John Crow mountains.

Dutch born Free-I, from Holland, bought the one acre property in 1996, re-landscaped the whole property and build 4 wooden beach cabins. The work took five years but Zion Country Eco beach Cabins opened its doors in 1999 and hosts visitors from all over the world. In 2008, after Hurricane Gustaf, Zion Country was badly damaged, but was totally rebuilt and looks even better.

Each unit has two rooms (2 persons each room), there is atmospheric light in the cabins, a sea view and balcony where you can relax or fall asleep in a hammock. Or you can walk outside the gate into a friendly Jamaican Community.

Zion Country Eco-Beach Cabins is an environmentally friendly place. We catch Rain Water and supply it to our Bathrooms and Showers for our guests ( Sorry, no Hot Water ).

We recycle our Glass, Paper and Plastic waste; out of our Green waste we make Compost. Zion Country Eco beach Cabins is trying to get a Green Globe certificate in the future. We have initiated a Community Donation program to help our local schools and health care facilities.
